Made in England this is a gorgeous blue and white vintage William Adams "Chinese Bird" porcelain jardiniere or planter. Lovely soft blue & white mosaic style pattern with a pheasant to one side and oriental men on the other. The pattern was first introduced in 1780. It was revived in 1913 and very popular during the 20's and 30's. Production ceased in 1940. Full backstamp to base and registered No. 623294. In great condition for age - there is a wear mark to the rim as shown in final photo. Height 20cm, rim 22cm, width of body 26cm approximately.
