Made in Finland by IITTALA, this is a stunning mid century modern carafe/decanter with original cork stopper. Designed by Tapio Wirkkala in 1972 and from the 'Niva' series (Niva being a Finnish word for sudden river rapid). The wonderful textured surface is said to resemble the rapid flow of water. In good condition but there is a slight chip to top of rim - not sharp to touch and completely usable but have priced accordingly (shown in final photo). Height 22.5cm, diameter to base 15cm.
