Peter Yenawine for STEUBEN - Crystal Sculpture "Circles" 1972 with Original Case
A stunning and unique, signed STEUBEN crystal sculpture designed by Peter Yenawine circa 1972. Solid and heavy crystal, weighing 3.3kg... An absolute collectors piece. Sits on a black rotating stand and is titled "Circles". Each side has five carved circles and and from every angle it is simply amazing. Has a flat bottom so sits perfectly on stand. Signed 'Steuben' to base and in original large red presentation box marked "Steuben Glass". Crystal is in fantastic condition - the rotating base has some surface wear. Height in total approx. 18cm. Incredibly heavy - weighs approx 3.3kg and 5kg in the box. Needs to be seen to be fully appreciated!!!
*Some background info - Steuben Glass was founded in the US in 1903 and opened its first shop on 5th Avenue, New York City in 1934. It is world renowned for having brilliant flawless crystal combined with the highest standards of design and craftsmenship. Every US President since Truman (1945-53) has selected Steuben glass as gifts of state.
