Antique French 19th Century CREIL ET MONTEREAU Black & White Earthenware Plates
Made in France circa 1870 this is a gorgeous set of seven Creil & Montereau black and white earthenware plates from different series. Signed by artist to front and on the back of each plate a little note or line explaining the scene (sometimes with humour). Full information for each plate below. Makers mark to base and numbered. In good condition commensurate with age and use - minor nibbles here and there, two bigger areas (shown in final two photos) and some wear to glaze. Overall good condition for age. Diameter 20cm.
