A really lovely silver plated, twin handled, jardiniere in the Rococo style made in England by Walter Oxley, Sheffield. Possibly antique - definitely vintage. Can also be used as an ice bucket. Nicely weighted. Body has applied bands of foliage & flowers and it stands on four scrolled feet. Hallmarked to base, numbered 8366 and marked "special plate". The silver plate has wear and marks commensurate with age and use. There is silver plate loss & blemishing (as shown in all photos) but overall it is a gorgeous, slightly rustic, piece. Perfect for a small plant like cyclamen, violets, etc or you can pop some flowers in. Height 14cm.
